Fmr. Trump aide to launch social media platform GETTR
UPDATED 3:02 PM PT – Friday, July 2, 2021
Jason Miller, former aide to President Trump, has created his own new ‘cancel-free’ social media platform. During an interview on Thursday, Miller announced the launch of the platform GETTR and said it would be a “non-bias social network for people all over the world.”
Miller admitted he was unsure if Trump would join the platform, but encouraged both the 45th president and Joe Biden to join. Trump has been searching for ways to maintain an online presence after being permanently banned from Twitter and denied access to Facebook for two years.
This is interesting — @JasonMillerinDC has created a new social media app, GETTR, that will welcome, not shun, free speech — it’s in test mode in both IOS and Android versions, so check it out! — https://t.co/YOpHua1L7B

The new social-media platform has been described to have a similar layout as Twitter, with functions such as trending topics and livestreams. Miller described the platform to be focused around free speech and unbiased ideas in efforts to fight Big Tech censorship and cancel cultures.
GETTR is expected to officially launch on Sunday, the Fourth of July.
