A Tennessee woman who developed blood clots after getting the Johnson & Johnson vaccine has continued to advocate for people to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. The Nashville woman spoke anonymously with local media and said she still believes vaccines are “incredibly important and life-saving” despite her being unable to walk for a week.
She also called her condition “extraordinarily rare.” The blood clot patient expressed her confidence that doctors will have answers soon in addition to a “definitive list” of people “for whom the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is safe.”
According to reports, the woman urged people who have access to other vaccines to get them and to be confident in their effectiveness and safety.
Meanwhile, the CDC and FDA recommended the U.S. pause its use of the vaccine after several women developed blood clots.
