Scalise: About 100 migrants crossing border within an hour
UPDATED 11:00 AM PT – Friday, April 9, 2021
As the border crisis continues to grow, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) has shared the real experience at the southern border. In a tweet Friday, the Louisiana lawmaker shared a live video, which showed an estimated 100 unaccompanied minors freely crossing into the U.S.
Scalise said the procession was non-stop as migrants were ushered from Mexico straight to a Customs and Border Protection processing facility.
🚨🚨 LIVE from the border:
This is out of control. It’s the middle of the night. We’ve seen dozens of children flow freely across the border in just the past few minutes.

“Probably over 100 people right here, just in the last hour that are waiting to go off to a processing facility,” Scalise stated. “They are coming into America because Joe Biden has created this magnet where he said the border is open.”
More scenes from receiving a briefing from border agents last night with @SteveScalise. Agents told me that in March, 172,000 migrants were apprehended- a 71% increase from last year.
