The Lincoln Club of Orange County has called for California Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom to resign for “incompetence and negligence.”
The Southern California Republican group issued their demands Tuesday, while citing his mishandling of up to $31 billion in unemployment fraud as well as failing to support small businesses and help struggling families.
California Labor Secretary Julie Su revealed $11 billion has been confirmed as illegitimate with another $20 billion labeled as potentially fraudulent. She added, no safeguards were in place to prevent foreign and domestic crime rings from taking billions in unemployment funds.
“There is no sugar-coating the reality: California did not have sufficient security measures in place to prevent this level of fraud. Of the $114 billion in unemployment paid by California since March, approximately 10% has been confirmed as fraudulent.”

Lincoln Club President John Warner said it was no wonder China and Russia stripped taxpayer dollars since Gov. Newsom has “been busy protecting his own interests.”
