Secretary of State Mike Pompeo completed his tour of Europe with a stop in Croatia this week. After wrapping up his visits to Greece and Italy, Pompeo met with the Croatian prime minister to discuss opportunities for closer cooperation between the two countries.

His trip came amid a renewed focus on the coronavirus pandemic, which came about after President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump announced they tested positive for the virus on Friday.

Pompeo and his wife confirmed they both tested negative for COVID-19 following this news. However, he noted his team will be reevaluating his upcoming travel schedule to Florida and Asia.

“I talked to my doctor back in Washington, the State Department medical team,” explained the secretary. “They said it’d be perfectly fine to make both of those trips, but we’re going to continue to look at it.”

Pompeo added he will continue to pray for a “speedy recovery” for both the President and First Lady.
